Top-drilled freshwater pearl is also called tear-drop pearl or freshwater dancing pearl. These pearls are drilled through the end of the pearl instead of through the center and measured by two sizes or size ranges (e.g. 6-7x5mm). The first measurement given is the longer dimension of the pearl (the length of the "drop"); the second measurement given is the width of the pearl.
